Lady Luck Shines on Bobby with $10,000 Flag-to-Flag Win at FALS Super Nationals!
At a track that has plagued Bobby with bad luck in the past, the biggest being a last-lap defeat in the 2019 Prairie Dirt Classic, Saturday night he ran a flawless race leading all 50 laps to earn a $10,000 FALS Super Nationals victory at Fairbury (IL) Speedway. Starting on the pole after winning his heat race, Bobby jumped out to an over three-second lead by the halfway mark. Lapped cars would slow his pursuit of the win, along with a late caution, but on this night, he was not to be denied. “The car was really good tonight,” said Bobby, who debuted a new Pierce Platinum car named “Lucky” this weekend. “This place normally has a plague on me for bad luck, but a lot of good luck charms here tonight, so big thanks to everybody.” — Rocky Ragusa Photo

Starting on the pole, Bobby led all 40 laps as he cruised to a $5,000 MARS victory Thursday night at Farmer City (IL) Raceway. He built up a lead of seven seconds at one point and lapped the field up to eighth before a late caution. He was not to be denied as he pulled away to an over three-second advantage at the finish. “I didn’t want to see that caution at all,” Bobby said. “Just the fact that I couldn’t see my (signal) guys I didn’t want to restart because I knew (in) turn one and two I was struggling. I was alright in (turns) three and four as long as I didn’t charge the corner too hard. This track was slick, super slick, so shoutout to my dad for building a good car.” — Tyler Carr Photo
