Bobby continued his impressive summer stretch on Saturday night, leading all 60 laps at 141 (WI) Speedway to capture the $25,000 World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory.
Starting from the pole position, Bobby jumped out front at the drop of the green flag and immediately set the pace. By lap nine, he had already caught the tail end of the field and began navigating lapped traffic.
The early stages were anything but easy.
As Bobby worked through slower cars, the second-place driver remained within a couple of car lengths and applied constant pressure. The battle tightened on lap 16 when the challenger pulled underneath Bobby entering turn three. One lap later, a slide job attempt nearly wrestled away the lead, but Bobby used momentum around the high side to maintain control.
The race took a turn on lap 18 when Bobby’s closest pursuer slowed with mechanical issues, bringing out a caution and ending one of the night’s biggest challenges.
From there, Bobby took command.
Following the restart, he quickly stretched his advantage, building a lead of more than 3.5 seconds before another caution on lap 32 interrupted the action due to a brief rain shower.
The unusual stoppage created a rare opportunity for teams to work on their cars before the race resumed.
“Awkward situation. Never been in that situation before,” Bobby said of the rain delay.
During the break, Bobby’s crew made several adjustments to prepare for the final stages of the race.
“Thanks to my crew for the quick turnaround back there,” he said. “We fixed the spoiler, put fresh tires on, and put a little fuel in it.”
When racing resumed, Bobby picked up right where he left off.
By lap 55, he had rebuilt his lead to more than three seconds and appeared firmly in control. Despite the car becoming increasingly difficult to handle over the closing laps, Bobby maintained his advantage and crossed the finish line 2.2 seconds ahead of the field.
“There at the end, I was getting really loose,” Bobby said. “Definitely didn’t like to see a caution. So, I’m glad we didn’t have any.”
The victory marked Bobby’s 53rd career World of Outlaws Late Model Series win and added another $25,000 payday to his growing list of accomplishments in 2026.
Following his Victory Lane interview, Bobby celebrated the triumph in memorable fashion by taking a leap into the infield pond, capping off another successful night for the No. 32 team.
