Bobby Breaks Through for $25,000 Wild West Shootout Victory at Central Arizona

Jan 18, 2026

Bobby capped off the Wild West Shootout Sunday night at Central Arizona Raceway, scoring a $25,000 victory in the 50-lap finale and finally breaking through for his first win of the six-race mini-series.

Starting from the pole, Bobby wasted no time asserting control, building nearly a four-second lead in the opening 20 laps. A caution on lap 23 shuffled the field and briefly cost him the lead, but he reclaimed the top spot just two laps later. Bobby slipped out of the lead again on lap 30, but the change was short-lived. He powered back to the front and led the remainder of the race, pacing 47 of the 50 laps overall.

At the checkered flag, Bobby’s commanding performance earned him not only the win, but also a hefty $51,500 payday thanks to lap leader bonuses.

The victory capped a week-long grind at the Wild West Shootout, where Bobby’s results steadily improved throughout the six-race mini-series. After opening the week with a 13th-place finish, he followed up with runs of third, second, second, and fourth, before sealing the deal with Sunday night’s win.

Reflecting on the ups and downs of the week, Bobby credited his team’s relentless effort:

“When we unloaded and practiced, we weren’t great. We weren’t bad — just kind of there. Then night one, we quickly realized we didn’t have enough motor for this track. This is a really big race track, so we had to break out our other car we were going to take to Volusia with a little bigger motor in it. We weren’t really happy with that car, so we switched to this one and it was better. Hats off to the guys — they worked their butts off all week. Even the off days here aren’t off days. We’re working hard, trying to make it better.”
