Starting from the pole in Friday night’s MARS Twisted Twin 25 at LaSalle (IL) Speedway, Bobby took control early and never relinquished the top spot en route to a $5,000 flag-to-flag victory. He encountered lapped traffic with 12 laps to go but skillfully adjusted his line, jumping to the high side to navigate around slower cars without losing momentum. His smooth maneuvering paid off, as he led every lap and took the checkers with a commanding 3.2-second advantage.
In the second feature, the top 10 finishers from the first 25-lapper were inverted, placing Bobby 10th on the starting grid. With a worn set of tires and less track position to work with, Bobby battled forward and made his way to a strong fourth-place finish in the second 25-lapper.
“We were good in the beginning, having that pole position, fresh tires,” Bobby said. “It kind of felt like my stuff was a little burned up in the last 25 laps. It made it hard to kind of come through the field, really make a lot of moves. But it was still a pretty good night.”
