Bobby fell just short of sweeping the Silver Dollar Nationals weekend as he was runner-up Saturday night in the finale at Huset’s (SD) Speedway. He started on the pole of the 80-lap Lucas Oil Series race. Although he never led a lap, Bobby was within striking distance throughout and was ready to pounce if the leader gave him an opportunity. That opportunity never came, and Bobby had to settle for second. Lapped traffic was never really a factor as six cautions slowed the event. “I really don’t know what more I could have done,” Bobby said. “Devin (Moran) was good, and I think we just missed a little on the right front setup. It was kind of bouncing around in the corner, and we scared ourselves out when we hot lapped. We kind of had a different setup on. The track just got a little more characteristic in it than we thought, and going through the corner, I guess just how the car bounced is how I went. I had my hands full for a while.” Bobby collected $20,000 for his second-place finish.
