After leading the first 18 laps of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals opener Tuesday night, Bobby briefly lost the top spot but quickly gained it back on lap 22 and stayed out front the rest of the way to pick up the $5,000 victory at Brownstown (IN) Speedway. “Man, that was a battle. I was kind of a sitting duck, I felt like. Man, every lap I was watching my dad on the backstretch (providing signals),” Bobby said. “That was a race. I was pretty nervous. I didn’t think we were going to hang onto it. About lap 10, I was kind of feeling like I was struggling, so I knew 30 laps to go it was going to be a long race.”
