Starting on the pole, Bobby led all 40 laps as he cruised to a $5,000 MARS victory Thursday night at Farmer City (IL) Raceway. He built up a lead of seven seconds at one point and lapped the field up to eighth before a late caution. He was not to be denied as he pulled away to an over three-second advantage at the finish. “I didn’t want to see that caution at all,” Bobby said. “Just the fact that I couldn’t see my (signal) guys I didn’t want to restart because I knew (in) turn one and two I was struggling. I was alright in (turns) three and four as long as I didn’t charge the corner too hard. This track was slick, super slick, so shoutout to my dad for building a good car.” — Tyler Carr Photo
