Overcoming adversity earlier in the night, Bobby finished third in the 60-lap finale of the World of Outlaws sanctioned Battle at the Border race Saturday night at Sharon (OH) Speedway. With under an hour before hot laps were scheduled to begin, Bobby and his team were forced to swap out the engine. He was unable to make it out to hot lap and almost missed qualifying. He was able to post the fourth fastest lap in his qualifying group. Bobby went on to win his heat race to earn the third starting position in the main event. In the feature, he was able to stay in contention throughout the race but was unable to mount a serious challenge for the lead. With the third-place finish, Bobby moved up to second in series points. “It’s definitely a success,” Bobby said. “We saw a lot of good cars get lapped tonight, and a lot of good cars just not finish up front. It’s been tough all weekend, and the adversity we fought was just crazy. We didn’t know when we had to hustle and bustle to get that stuff changed around if we’d even make qualifying. What a night, and I can’t say enough thanks to all of my crew guys.”
