It was old school Bobby on Saturday night at Florence in the 41st North/South 100. Banging the boards and bringing the sparklers, Bobby charged from his 13th starting spot to bank $75,000 with his second career North/South 100 victory. He reached second by lap 43 and went to work on the leader. Bobby took command with a slider in traffic on lap 81. He briefly lost the top spot after a lap 87 restart, but the #1 ranked driver in Late Model racing regained the point three laps later and went on to score his third crown jewel win in his career-best season. He accumulated the most points in the two preliminary nights with his two wins, but he was buried in his heat race due to an invert making it that much sweeter to come from mid-pack in the main event. “I had to work for that one,” Bobby said. “That was tough. There was a lot going on in that race to come from 13th. I didn’t have points on the line, $75,000 to win, I was just sending it. It was a lot of fun out there. This is my second biggest win of my career (money-wise). This is pretty cool.”
