From 19th, Bobby Wins $20,000 Jackson 100, Scores 100th Career Super Late Model Victory!

brownstown sep23Finally! With all the bad luck that Bobby and his team have endured this season, Sunday afternoon it all came together for a much-needed victory in the 39th Annual Jackson 100 at Brownstown (IN) Speedway. Like he has countless times this season, Bobby had to rally from the back of the field (19th). Running the bottom of the track, he took the lead for the first time on lap 73. He stayed in front for four laps before falling back to second but he stayed close to the leader. Coming out of the fourth turn and seeing the white flag, Bobby edged ahead of the leader and held on to capture the $20,000 victory, his third Lucas Oil Series triumph of the season. With the win, Bobby has now reached 100 career Super Late Model victories. “Wow, out of all of the places to win my first big race of the season, I didn’t think it would happen here at Brownstown," Bobby said. "You have to stay so focused here. It gets really slick. Thanks to all the fans for coming. I don’t know what to say, my emotions have taken over. It’s been a long year. We have been so close to getting some big wins, to finally get it feels really good." -- Heath Lawson Photo
